Mike Horn and the brazilian Pangaea are sailing to the Amazon - news

- Curious to read the latest posts of our hero and guru Mike Horn, dear visitor?
- Yes, he is sailing from the Caribbean to the colossal mouth of the Amazon.
- No, not alone this time, but in the company of his young disciples.
- My favorite message is the number
6.
- Now, tell me yours.

Fernando Costa

The delta of the colossal Amazon river

10 - Most southern point of Trinidad, 4 days to the mouth of the mighty Amazon.                                                                                                                So much is awaiting us to be discovered in the Amazon. All we must do is open our eyes and look to see.

9 - Arrived in Trinidad early this morning. This is the last stop before we sail into the Amazon, it's going to be a trip of a lifetime this time. I'm not alone, I'm with 10 Young Explorers.

8 - What I love about the amazon Is the diversity; everything people dislike and are afraid of becomes part of your life. Life should be about making the unlike liked.

7 - Every 11 seconds the size of a football field of Amazon Jungle are destroyed by Humans. One football field less Jungle in the time it took you to read this post. The Young explorers will try and slow it down, we need your support!

6 - To survive in life. Your will to win must be bigger than your fear to lose.

5 -  During the rain season the amazon rises by 14 meters and it turns into swamps. I had to walk days without seeing dry land. To sleep I hung my hammock on trees above the water.

4 - Before biting, tarantulas may signal their intention to attack by rearing up into a "threat posture", which may involve raising their prosoma and lifting their front legs into the air, Don't worry they have never killed humans, I'm still alive!

3 - The Amazon estuary is some 325km (202 mi) wide. When I swam out into the mouth of the river, the only way I could tell I was in the Atlantic and no longer in the Amazon was by tasting the water. I will never forget the moment I tasted salt for the first time after 6 months in sweet water.

2 - To hunt you must be hunted!!!

1 -  Do these young explorers really know where they going and what their mission will be in the Amazon? They will help save the Amazon for generations to come.
