Salve colegas velejadores!

Uma das minhas maiores e mais agradáveis surpresas ano passado, foi descobrir o surpreendente "Windvinder" através de um post do ótimo blog 70.8%. Vide meus favoritos. Adoraria ler o maior número possível de comentários a respeito. Se por acaso, navegando na net, vocês descobrirem alguma notícia ou detalhe novo sobre esse curiosíssimo projeto, favor deixar o link aqui pra nós, de presente. Ah, e meus parabéns à criativa Wipke Iwersen pela construção do "WindVinder" e pela concepção da "Expedição às Origens do Vento" ("Expedition to the Origin of the Wind").

Boa noite amigas e amigos leitores

Não sei se vocês já perceberam, mas de tempos em tempos eu publico
 um texto de outro blog.

- De quanto em quanto tempo?

- Madame Probabilidade é quem decide.

 Desta feita importei do excelente "70.8" esta matéria sobre o veleiro-mais-lindo-que-já-vi. Lindo e criativo. Pena que a foto acima não possui a qualidade que ele merece. Trata-se de um trimarã-com-a-vela-em-feitio-de-leque-azul. Ele lembra-me da infância e também da minha fantasia favorita. Viver num mundo onde o único veículo usado por seus marítimos habitantes fosse o veleiro. Mundo fantástico de barcos-à-vela-sem-igual. Cada qual inventado por seu proprietário, timoneiro e autor. Mas leiam, leiam este post do Thomas Amstrong do ótimo "70.8", que vocês vão adorar!

Wipke Iwersen, artist/philosopher/inventor and driving force behind the fabulous Windvinder, sent me some photos of her Philippine double outrigger canoe. The builder is Ronelo Banggat from Tagpopongan, Philippines. Ronelo and his father build these 'composite' boats, with help from Ronelo's young sons. I say composite because the lower part of the hull is a dugout and the rest is ply. These boats were traditonaly built in the same way but with woven, tarred bamboo in place of the more recent plywood.
