Un très beau film qui dit sans commentaires à quoi ressemble la vie après l'apocalypse nucléaire en suivant le quotidien d'un homme d'exception, Naoto Matsumura, qui est resté dans la zone interdite pour s'occuper des animaux abandonnés et prendre soin des tombes des morts dans une ville, Tomioka, désertée par 15’000 habitants.
