(-3) - Guppy was cutting through the SEA at 7 knots as the rain kept nailing the white foamy tips of the waves when the dolphins came jumping out and kept at jumping and diving back in the water. 09/01/2012
29 - Guppy is still flying like a spear over the SEA, and at this speed we are quickly approaching the
coast. 30/10/2011
coast. 30/10/2011
30 - After five weeks at SEA I am doing well and Guppy is still a really good fighter. 30/10/2011.
31 - Clipped with a short safety tether I stood outside for a while to take in the view: the phosphorescent rolling crests of the waves, the stars, the small moon crescent, and the whistling sound of the stormy winds on a raging sea. It made me realize again how strong nature really is and what a small dot Guppy is on the ocean. Stil she keeps on against the winds and facing wave after wave, diving into each and shaking the water off, she keeps keeping on and on as if it was nothing to her. You may like the SEA or you may hate the SEA but you can never trust the SEA. Maybe this is why it is so interesting.. 29/10/2011
32 - This morning I wasn't feeling too well but after a few hours I felt better as I got used to the heaving SEA and the boat being rammed with each coming wave... 27/10/2011
33 - After 24 days at SEA I have covered 3000 nautical miles in comparison to my crossing form the Galápagos Islands to the Marquesas Islands that took me 18 days for the same distance.. 20/10/2011

34 - I baked bread today and to my own surprise I succeeded very well. It is a real nice to have good and fresh bread at SEA. 19/10/2011
35 - How is it possible to be for three weeks at SEA and not get good winds for two days in a row .. 17/10/2011
36 - Our speed has dropped to less than 3 knots and sometimes Guppy is just bobbing up and down on the waves. It now drizzles at times and the SEA looks like an endless faded grey blue dale. 16/10/2011

37 - There is not much difference between being at sea for 20 or 25 days but there is a big one between sailing for one day or five days. Anyway, I am very happy to be here with Guppy between the waves which are a bit smaller today. Of course at times I wish I was ashore again, but then when I am, I often wish I was back sailing at SEA. 15/10/2011

What ever your fate: Thank God that you lived every moment of the last 510 days and counting to the fullest. Wish my dreams could be as large as yours. But with two little girls of my own my dreams must focus on their lives. They will come to know about Josh Slocum, Vito Dumas and Laura. Thank you so much! Tim

Hi Laura "The true Alice in WonderSEA" Dekker ! I wrote the following on my blog today: "The best school is a sailboat and the best student is Laura Dekker ! I have already burned (in my mind, only) flags of Brazil, USA, Germany and Japan for the reasons you know, and now I want to do the same with the flag of Netherland. Please read what injustice some Dutch bureaucrats are committing with our dear... ResponderExcluir" - Hi Laura "The true Alice in Wonderland" Dekker
I have a suggestion for you.
How about publish a book with your most beautiful quotes about the SEA? It can be an ebook. I swear I'd be the first person to buy it. I love quotes in general and yours in particular. Why? Because they are great.
See the last ten I selected reading your nice weblog!

My favorite in this group is:
"You may like the SEA or you may hate the SEA but you can never trust the SEA."
