A todos vocês que amam, idolatram e veneram a divina MAR, maravilham-se com a inteligente VELA e velam pelo sagrado MEIO-AMBIENTE desejo um FELIZ ANO NOVO.
De presente-de-fim-de-ano para aqueles que ainda não o conhecem, um vídeo sobre o interessante evento aquático-musical Songs of the Sea. A idéia é original e o show extravagante. Em vez de fogos de artifício, muita água lançada por um enorme e poderoso chafariz-high-tech.
- O espetáculo também exibe fogos-de-artifício, luz artificial, laser e fogo propriamente dito?
- Sim, mas eu que sou apaixonado pela água em todos os seus estados, fico com o super-chafariz-computadorizado, que é novo pra mim.
A prefeitura de Cabo Frio podia muito bem instalar um desses
no Parque das Águas, não? Eu e as crianças íamos adorar.
O criador deste evento é o mesmo do show de abertura da Olimpíada de Pequim, na minha opinião o mais belo show de abertura de Olimpíadas de todos os tempos e lugares. Talvez o espetáculo peque pelo excesso de efeitos sonoros e visuais, rimando com a maioria dos filmes hollywoodianos da última década, com os sanduiches-x-tudo, com os-rodízios-de-pizza, com as big-sorveterias-self-service que oferecem mil opções diferentes de sorvetes-multicoloridos-super-açucarados-de-sabores-artificiais-quase-iguais e consequentemente com a desastrosa pandemia de obesidade física e mental que se alastra perigosa e rapidamente por todo o planeta nos obscuros tempos que correm.
Mas pra quem ainda não viu, vale uma olhada, creio eu. Espero que gostem. Uma coisa é certa, os que gostarem do espetáculo detestarão esta minha ácida crítica e os que detestarem o espetáculo gostarão desta minha doce crítica. Adoraria agradar a todos com este meu presente de fim de ano, mas, agradar a
todos é humanamente impossível.

- Ora porque felizmente somos todos diferentes e forçosamente o que agrada a Pedro, desagrada João. Atenção que não estou me referindo a nenhum Pedro ou João especificamente. Citei esses dois belos e bíblicos nomes próprios, par hasard, como dizem os franceses, significando em português por acaso.

Songs of the Sea
Songs of the Sea is a musical fountain located at the beaches of Sentosa Island, Singapore. Designed by Yves Pepin, the Songs of the Sea show started on 26 March 2007. It replaced the 25-year-old Magical Sentosa show. The musical fountain is a $30 million investment by Sentosa to enhance its entertainment product offerings and to attract more tourists. It is the world's only permanent show set in the sea — boasting spectacular pyrotechnics displays, water jets, laser show and flame bursts a live cast and an open-air viewing gallery which can comfortably accommodate 2,500 visitors.
Replacement of the Old Musical Fountain
The 25 year old Musical Fountain at Sentosa came to an end in March 2006, to make way for the new integrated resort — Resorts World Sentosa, that would occupy the vicinity. In view of the ending of the musical fountain show, a new musical fountain show was built at the far end of the island, near Beach Station.
About
The new musical fountain show uses giant water projection screens. Images are projected on these water screens to create 3-Dimensional animations, that will be shown during the show. The show had a new storyline and Kiki (Sentosa's Mascot) was replaced by Oscar the Fish. The Merlion no longer play part of the musical fountain show anymore, since the old musical fountain was demolished to make way for the new integrated resort.What now stands at the musical fountains spot is the Lake of dreams.The equipment used for the original fountain is recycled to be used as the equipment for the Lake of Dreams show.[6]
The beach and the sea are stage for the show. A stretch of wooden houses was built across the shoreline to create a Malay Kampung, or more commonly known as a Kelong. It is a work of art that is 120 meteres long while the rest of the equipment (water jets, water screens, lasers and projectors) are being hidden at the back of the kelong.[3][8] There are a total of 69 water jets capable of reaching a height of 40 metres and flames leaping up to a height of 20 metres.[2][3] The show runs twice a night at 7.40pm and 8.40pm and lasts 25 minutes.
Story
Li, a young man gifted with a charming voice, is singing by the sea with his friends when he is stunned by the sudden vision of a beautiful sleeping girl, Princess Ami. Guided by a group of mischievous Sea Creatures, Li learns that she’s under the spell of an enchanted village. He was determined to save Princess Ami. Along the journey, he met the Lord of Fire, Spirit of Light and Lady of the Sea.
