Thomas Edison quase trocou os EEUU pelo Brasil - nada a ver - post reciclado

- Muito bom dia amigas e amigos visitantes, colaboradores e seguidores deste nosso blog dedicado à divina MAR, à inteligente VELA e ao sagrado MEIO-AMBIENTE!
Hoje comemora-se o aniversário de nascimento de um dos macróbios humanos mais inteligentes que o planeta Terra já viu.
Embora ele não tenha inventado o BARCO À VELA, que na minha humilde opinião é mais, muito mais importante que a lâmpada elétrica, rendo-lhe homenagem publicando duas biografias, um texto avulso mais uma check list. Leiam, que vão gostar. Todos três em inglês, mas inglês é mais fácil que português. Keep reading! Ah, o terceiro texto fala do barco elétrico inventado por Thomas Alva Edison. Louisville's Thomas Edison House is located in historic Butchertown, a neighborhood which has been known as the center of meat production in this city for over 200 years. It was also one of the areas Thomas Alva Edison called home during the years he lived and worked in Louisville.
Edison came to Louisville in 1866, at the young age of 19, to work as a telegraph key operator. With his skill at receiving telegraph messages, Thomas Edison had little difficulty landing a job with the Western Union located on Second and West Main Street -- about eight blocks from this home. Apparently, Louisville was also experiencing a shortage of telegraph operators at the time.

Thomas Edison’s Electric Boat

When I heard the Edison & Ford Estate Museum, in Ft. Myers, FL, has a replica of Thomas Edison’s Electric Boat I had to visit the museum and take the riverfront tour on this vessel. The museum actually has four replica vessels that provide 90-minute trips on the river. The replica boats, constructed of fiberglass are 33 feet long and seat approximately 20 passengers.
